You know I love a good bake sale, particularly a bake sale that’s for a really good cause. Funding low-cost spay/neuter surgeries is a very good cause so I think you should totally participate in No Kill Louisville’s bake sale fundraiser on Sunday July 1, 2012. All funds raised at the sale will directly fund low-cost spay/neuter surgeries.
No Kill Louisville’s Spay & Neuter Committee will be hosting a bake sale fundraiser on Sunday, July 1st from 1pm-5pm in Fairleigh Pet Center’s parking lot (Bardstown Rd).
We need volunteer bakers to bake cookies, muffins, mini-loafs, brownies, cupcakes, etc.!
To commit, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 230-3FIX and leave a message. Please commit by no later than Wednesday, June 27th. Tell us what you plan to bake, and how much (ie. 2 dozen cookies).
Guidelines for bakers:
*Food items must be individually wrapped
*No items requiring refrigeration, please
*Ingredients must be given (preferably via e-mail so that we can print labels if we decide to)
*We encourage you to bake animal-free/vegan goodies!
*Help raise even more funds for spay & neuter by shopping for ingredients at Whole Foods with reusable bags – redeem one “wooden nickel” per bag at checkout, and drop the wooden nickel into our box as you exit the store!
Drop off times:
*Saturday, June 30 between 12 – 3 pm at the Pet Food Bank, 1700 Mellwood Ave.
*Sunday, July 1st between 12 – 12:30 pm at Fairleigh Pet Center on Bardstown Rd.
I was going to bake vegan cupcakes but I can’t think of how to individually package them without smooshing the icing and smooshed icing is awful so I may have to bake vegan peanut butter brownies and maybe vegan chocolate chip cookies.
