It’s going to be hot this holiday weekend kids. 98 degrees and sunny according to the forecast. It’s also the Jewish holiday of Shavuot this weekend. A holiday for which one of the primary rituals of observance is eating dairy based foods. Combine these two factors together and I think it’s a really good idea to go get some ice cream on Sunday afternoon. So I propose we all get together on Sunday afternoon at the Valley Dairy Freeze.
You know I have a tendency to stay in my little “inside the Watterson” bubble so I’d never heard of Valley Dairy Freeze until they started following me on Twitter a couple weeks ago. Now that I know about them I’m itching to get out to sample their wares. This insanely hot weekend seems like a prime time to do it. Want to join me?
I’m planning to be at Valley Dairy Freeze at about 4PM on Sunday afternoon, May 27. That seems like the perfect time to ruin my dinner with ice cream. I’ll be wearing a Menu and Hours t-shirt (shameless promotion!) and hope to see you there. I checked with the Valley Dairy Freeze folks and they do take credit cards so you don’t have to have cash on you.
