Girl Scout Cookie Coffee Drinks? Yes.

Coffee

Sondra Powell at Red Hot Roasters takes the notion of “fancy coffee drinks” to a whole new level. You’ll recall last spring how delighted I was with her Peep latte which came with an actual Peep on top of it. She’s got some interesting drinks for Valentine’s day (think chocolate and raspberry) but what I’m really interested in is her take on Girl Scout Cookies, in drink form.

Red Hot has taken Girl Scout Cookie legends the Trefoil, Samoa and Thin Mint and translated them into delicious drinks that will be available through March for $5.25.

Powell worked with the Girl Scouts of The U.S.A. to conceive the drinks, and the organization will receive a portion of each purchase.

The drinks combine flavorings Powell has concocted to match the cookies, and sweet steamed milk. Each drink is garnished with its corresponding cookie.

Just to review, Trefoils are shortbread, Samoas are coconut, caramel and chocolate, and Thin Mints are chocolate covered mint wafers.

Thin Mints are the only Girl Scout cookie I like since they discontinued the lemon ones I liked last year so Thin Mint beverage you will be mine, oh yes you will.

I have had the Trefoil drink, and it is divine!

There is a new lemon cookie this year called Savannah Smiles. It tastes a lot like a lemon-filled powdered doughnut.
