B and I had an absolute ball at the Louisville Arcade Expo last year. B is a Ms. PacMan obsessive and I love pinball and all sorts of 80s video games. Seriously, we had so much fun. So I’m giddy that this year’s expo is going to be even bigger and better than last year’s edition was.
One of the organizers sent me an email telling me about their growth and improvements this year:
We moved the show to the Ramada Plaza on Bluegrass Parkway for more room. As you know last year, we had a lot of people show up, and it got a little cramped. This year the area is over 4 times bigger (22,000+ sq ft), and we have more power too…which means more games!
One last cool thing about this years’ show is that there is a Wick’s pizza on site at the Ramada, and they are going to be setting up a Pizza parlor in the room next door to our show! What we are going to add is the old-school sit-down video games (the cocktail galaga’s, pacman’s, etc) that you used to find at the local pizza joints back in the hey day to tie it all together.
Dude. B is going to be so excited to sit and play Ms PacMan like we did back in the day at the Mexican restaurant in our college town. I don’t mean to overstate this but if you are a child of the 80s and early 90s then you totally want to go to this. It’s so great.
