Right before the Super Bowl I told you about The Trilliquin Center’s movie night, in case the Super Bowl wasn’t your thing. Turns out their movie night is a regular thing. They show an interesting documentary, give you free popcorn and raise money for charity. That’s a pretty good way to spend an evening I think.
This is our fifth showing in our series of documentaries that inform, inspire and raises money for a charity that pairs well with the theme of the movie.
This time we’re showing Smile Pinki. It is the captivating story of a desperately poor little girl in rural India whose life is magically transformed when she receives free surgery to correct her cleft lip. It received an Oscar in 2009 in the category of best documentary short subject.
