You know how close I love to a Homemade Ice & Pie Kitchen right? Well if you don’t, let me tell you, it’s close. An easy walk. So let’s just say I’ll make B walk with me and buy me an ice cream cone at the annual $.25 Ice Cream Social.

They’ve expanded the $.25 ice cream social from 4 hours to 5 hours this year (thanks Pie Kitchen!) and it’s of course happening at all nine locations.

As the Pie Kitchen asks: “when’s the last time you could buy a large scoop of ice cream for 25¢? Even better with the prices and economy this is a great time to come enjoy premium fresh churned ice cream for 25¢.”

Take pictures of your yummy, yummy $.25 ice cream and put them on Twitter why don’t you? Let’s use the #25social hashtag. I suggest you get the creme brulee ice cream. It’s just ridiculously good.

The owner of the pie kitchen also gives back to the community through the non-profit organization he founded – the Adam Matthews Foundation. He has partnered with the Save the Hogans Fountain Pavilion group to raise money to save the local iconic structure in Cherokee Park. Check out the website he hosts for our group – http://www.savehogansfountain.com. Yay Adam!
