St. Matthews

Experiencing a little bit of a post Derby funk? Let me give you something to think about that will cheer you up: crepes. The St. Matthews Farmers Market opens this Saturday May 14, 2011 and with it comes crepes. The crepes of course will be coming from Pigalle Crepes which I told you about a few weeks back.

Saturday, May 14, is opening day for the St. Matthews Farmers Market at Beargrass Christian Church (4100 Shelbyville Road). Hours are 8 a.m. to noon.

This is the 5th year of the market which offers local produce, meats, cheeses, eggs, baked goods, plants, flowers, crafts, and more. Tool sharpening by Fresh Start Growers’ Supply is also offered.

Prepared foods are available and include omelets, barbecue, breakfast burritos, and crepes.
