Is it just me or did the Louisville food scene go from 0 to sixty in 5 seconds flat in terms of food trucks? A few months ago we had almost none and now a new one seems to pop up every week. I am not complaining mind you, I think this development is awesome for our city.
San Diego Sandwich Works is coming to you! (I mean literally coming your way) Be on the lookout for the little turquoise woodie, delivering fresh taste and a little bit of California sunshine in every bite. The bus will be parked in a location near you and we can always drive on up to your place and bring the West Coast flavors to your office, party, or home. Visit our calendar to see the nearest location to you or let us know a suggestion of where you would like to see the funky, fun bus parked for your eating enjoyment! If only I could bring the weather with me from my hometown!
According to San Diego Sandwich Works Facebook page the truck will be parked on Chestnut between 4th and 5th. And there is a calendar on their website that I think gets updated each week with the locations (if it changes). The menu (PDF) looks like a nice mix of wraps and sandwiches. Though I don’t think any are expressly vegetarian there is a note on the menu that says they’ll swap the meat for extra veggies to make vegetarian versions.
