You already know that I think you should check out the Jewish Film Festival so just consider this your friendly reminder. In case you’re curious which films I’m most excited about and plan to go see here it is:
Eli and Ben Saturday February 12 7:30 pm at Adath Jeshurun Synagogue. Tickets are $15 for this one because there is also a dessert reception. AJ usually springs for good desserts too so you should get with that.
Nora’s WillSunday February 13 7:00 pm at Village 8 Theatres. Tickets are $8.50 in advance, $10 at door.
Lost IslandsThursday February 17 7:00 pm at Village 8 Theatres. Tickets are $8.50 in advance, $10 at door.
AnitaSunday February 20 7:00 pm at Village 8 Theatres. Tickets are $8.50 in advance, $10 at door.

The Jewish Film Festival features 10 award-winning international films aimed at providing audiences a means to understand Jewish cultural complexity, richness and depth.
The curtain rises with a screening of “Tough Crowd”, an eight minute short created by Louisville native Jeffrey Roth and feature film “Eli and Ben.” Congregation Adath Jeshurun will host the opening night event Saturday, Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15 and include a dessert reception.
The festival runs through Monday, February 21 with screenings at Village 8 Theaters, The Temple, Congregation Adath Israel Brith Sholom and University of Louisville’s Chao Auditorium.
“A Film Unfinished” will be shown on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 at Chao Auditorium for free. The film is on the short-list for an Academy Award Best Documentary nomination. On Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2:30 pm, “Voice Teacher” will be screened in collaboration with the Derby City Film Festival. Voice Coach and star of the documentary, Don Roberts and Director Daniel Mendelson will attend the showing at Eifler Theatre in the Clifton Center and will discuss the film after the screening. Tickets cost $6.
