I’ve had a few emails asking me to post a list of what restaurants and things are open on Christmas day. I haven’t received a lot of notice about things that are open (save the Heine Brothers info that I posted this morning) so I thought I’d just put out an open call. If you know of a business that will be open this Saturday please drop a comment and let us know. I’ll update the list in this post as info comes in.

From the comments: Taco Tico in New Albany will be open Christmas Day from 4 p.m.-8 p.m., the owners said on Facebook
From an email: “I had a really good meal at Wild Ginger on Bardstown last night and they mentioned that they are open.”
And as I said in response to a comment on the Heine Brothers post, I appreciate businesses who are open on December 25. Not everyone celebrates Christmas and it’s nice that there are at least a few businesses open for us and for those folks who do observe Christmas but want to do it while out in the world, not just at home, etc. Because, from personal experience, the huge crowds at Chinese restaurants and Baxter Avenue Theatre on previous Christmases indicated that there definitely is a communal desire for businesses to be open on Christmas.
