Louisville’s first hackerspace is officially opening its doors and Louisville’s makers and builders are invited to attend.

Hackerspace? Yep. Hackerspace is defined as “a location where people with common interests, usually in science, technology, or digital or electronic art can meet, socialise and collaborate. A hackerspace can be viewed as an open community lab, workbench, machine shop, workshop and/or studio where people of diverse backgrounds can come together to share resources and knowledge to build/make things.”

I’m very glad we now have a place that meets that definition here in Louisville. I love this city and all the people in it doing cool stuff. I want to make lamps out of recycled glass bottles, I don’t think that’s techy enough for hackerspace folks, so you go make something cool and tell us all about it.
