They had such a good time last year Heine Brother’s, Carmichael’s and Kentuckians for the Commonwealth are teaming up for another big party that “celebrates the unique natural beauty and ecological importance of Kentucky’s Appalachian mountains.”
Louisville Loves Mountains 2010 is next Friday May 21 from 4PM-10PM. They’ll have Longest Avenue, in front of Heine Brother’s and Carmichael’s blocked off from car traffic so it will literally be a party in the street.
An impressive list of local artists and musicians are teaming up with Heine Brother’s Coffee and Carmichael’s Bookstore and the social justice group Kentuckians For The Commonwealth for an
evening to celebrate Kentucky’s mountain beauty and heritage.
The music lineup includes Daniel Martin Moore, the Potluck Ramblers, Nora Ben & Eli, Appalatin, the River City Drum Corps, Thomas A Minor and the Picket Line, and Maiden Radio.
The featured artist will be Affrilachian Poet Makalani Bendele.
