“This will be our third consecutive year partnering with Four Roses for Flower Hour,” said Eddie Kraft, owner of Nanz & Kraft. “Where else can one come shop for their significant other for Valentine’s Day, eat and sip on bourbon with a Hall of Fame Master Distiller and contribute to making Louisville a vibrant, beautiful city all in one place?”
That’s a good quote right there, it certainly got my attention. B and I are refraining from Valentine’s Day giving this year because good gracious buying and then renovating a house (even on a small scale) takes every penny we’ve got. In other words “We bought each other a house, happy Valentine’s Day!” If you’re not in that boat though you should definitely check out the Four Roses Flower Hour. Mr. Kraft is right, sip bourbon, buy your sweetie a gift and help beautify Louisville. Win-win-win.
Valentine’s Day may mean treating a sweetheart to roses, but this year gift givers can spoil themselves a little too as they shop during Four Roses Flower Hour, an after-hours Bourbon tasting, shopping night and reception at Nanz & Kraft Florist. The event will take place on Thursday, February 11 from 6-8 p.m. right before the last-minute Valentine’s rush.
Flower Hour will occur during Nanz & Kraft’s one-night special extended hours at the St. Matthews location, which offers an extensive selection of flowers and gifts. Shoppers will receive a shot at getting their beloved a dozen roses before Valentine’s Day while they enjoy Four Roses
bourbon tastings and mingle with master distiller, Jim Rutledge. To participate in Four Roses Flower Hour, shoppers are asked to contribute a minimum $5 donation to Brightside. The donation includes Bourbon tastings, hors d’oeuvres and a 10 percent discount on all Nanz & Kraft items. Rutledge will be on hand to meet guests, discuss Bourbon or
sign Four Roses memorabilia.
