Art, East End, Education

While I don’t have much interest in wallpaper I have a great (and growing) interest in various printing techniques. So I think this day long workshop sounds pretty cool.

Virginia Tucker, owner of the Virginia Floor Cloth Company in Louisville will show the class how to create block prints on paper, Saturday, March 6th from 10:00 a..m. – 4:00 p.m. This technique is similar to that used by wallpaper manufacturers like the ones that furnished wallpapers for Lucy and William Croghan’s Locust Grove in the early 1800′s. Please bring a bag lunch for this day-long workshop. Cost $70, which includes all materials.

Historic Locust Grove is located at 561 Blankenbaker Lane, (between Brownsboro Road and River Road). To register, call 502-897-9845.
