Consuming Louisville reader Megan sent in a tip about a flash mob going on today at the Panera downtown. Actually they are doing several flash mobs but this is the first one. The complete schedule can be found below.
What’s a flash mob? A flash mob is an “impromptu” happening at a public place by as many people as possible. This sometimes ends up as a group dance, or freezing in place for a length of time, or hundreds of people wearing blue and yellow polo shirts storming Best Buy. For some examples, check out ImprovEverywhere.com.
Where do you come in? For Actors Theatre of Louisville’s 34th Humana Festival of New American Plays, we’ve organized Flash Mobs at various locations around town and we want YOU to be a part of the mob. Whether you can make one or all of them, please join in! You can participate by joining us for a rehearsal on Tuesday, February 23 at 7:15 on the 4th floor of Actors Theatre’s Alexander Speer Building (315 W Market St).
When else will you have a chance to rock out to Journey and Britney Spears in the middle of Panera Bread?
