Mmmmmmmm Thanksgiving. If you’re like my beloved and you are beyond ready for Thanksgiving foods then Rainbow Blossom at Gardiner Lane is going to take care of you this Saturday November 14, 2009 from noon-2PM. They are having a Taste of Thanksgiving featuring foods that will be available in their Thanksgiving meal packages and a la carte.
They’ll be whipping up goodies from scratch on Saturday so you’ll be able to taste the awesomeness and see what you want to order for your own Thanksgiving table.
Speaking of Thanksgiving a dear friend, a New Orleans native, sent me an email after my comment about Creole food last week. He said that the Thanksgiving turkey carcass and leftovers make fabulous turkey gumbo. Apparently it’s a New Orleans tradition. Who knew? Who is going to make a big pot of that for me?
we wanted to give folks a chance to ‘test drive’ the Turkey Day foods we’re offering both in our meals and ala carte. There’ll be the homemade herbed stuffing, brandied cranberry sauce, whole-grain mac & cheese, sour cream & green onion mashed potatoes, maple pecan crunch sweet potato casserole, greenfest (tis a medley of green veggies sauteed w/ garlic in olive oil), and roasted veggies; all from scratch.
