Have Qdoba for Lunch, Do Some Good and Maybe Win an Ipod

qdoba.jpgAlright East Enders this one is just for you. On Friday the recently remodeled Qdoba at the Summit is having a party to celebrate their reopening. All day on Friday November 13 they’ll be giving away free entrees to random loyalty card members and giving away some prizes. The real kicker though is that they’ll be donating 10% of sales that day to the Children’s Hospital Foundation. That’s a pretty good reason to drive to the East End for lunch.

On Friday, November 13, Qdoba Mexican Grill at Summit Plaza will give away free entrees to random loyalty card members, an iPod nano® to one lucky winner and several other prizes to celebrate the reopening of the remodeled store at 4059 Summit Plaza Drive.

With the renovation, the store’s seating space has nearly doubled, and the restaurant has a new design in line with the chain’s national repositioning as an inventive, artisanal Mexican kitchen. On November 13, the Summit Plaza location will also donate 10% of its sales to the Children’s Hospital Foundation benefiting Kosair Children’s Hospital. Recently, $30,000 was donated to the organization by the local Qdoba restaurants.

The $30,000 will be used to support a $24 million expansion and renovation of the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The NICU provides care to more than 1,000 critically ill and premature infants annually. One of the largest units in the country, the NICU offers the highest level of care available, providing the most high-tech, high-touch care to infants from throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana. The Qdoba donation will specifically sponsor two patient care “pods,” which will open in 2010.
