Once again Zen Garden is offering you a heck of a deal to kick your Thanksgiving holiday off: absolutely delicious free vegetarian food. The catch of course is that Zen Garden is asking you to “pay what you can” as donations instead of charging menu prices.
If, like me, you’re on a spending moratorium and you can only scrape up a few dollars. I’m sure the folks at Zen Garden would rather have you come enjoy their food and donate those few dollars to good local charities than sitting at home. And if you aren’t on a spending moratorium be as generous as you can because
100%, yes I said 100% of the proceeds made Thanksgiving Eve will be donated to charity.
I know a lot of families look for volunteer opportunities around Thanksgiving well I think this should be on your rotation of “do-gooder” stuff to do with your kids as well. It’s an example of compassion in action and it’s an example of a business that puts its money where its mouth is in terms of doing good in our community. Great, great lessons to teach your kids.
