Kid Friendly, Outdoors

I like the idea of not so scary Halloween events. I’m a wuss that way.

Little Goblins Galore is a family-oriented Halloween event hosted by Nightmare at Otter Creek. It is a not so scary Halloween event mainly designed for the kids. The event will include activities such as face painting, pumpkin painting, trick-or-treating, and even a haunted house designed especially for kids! Plus, it is during the day which makes it even less scary and more fun! It is a blast for the entire family! See the calendar below for dates and times of operation for Little Goblins Galore.

ADMISSION: $8.00 per guest

I guess I should tell you that Little Goblins Galore is part of the Nightmare at Otter Creek events shouldn’t I? Those are for the grown ups. There are two haunted options for adults:

Nightmare Forest has returned to the Abandoned Otter Creek Park with a vengeance and is here to tear you apart. Nightmare Forest is not a normal walk in the dark; it is a trail filled nightmares and torment. Some of what you will see will be straight from the scariest horror movies that you know and love!

For 2009, Otter Creek has conjured up demons and monsters from movies such as: Skeleton Key, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Mirrors, and MUCH, MUCH MORE!

To enter, you must pass through the old Otter Creek asylum where the inhabitants are CRAZY to see you! Then you will bombarded by twisted clowns and pass through a dark, creepy mine shaft where gold is the last thing on their mind! All they want is your brains! Finally, as you get back to the heart of Otter Creek Park you will encounter a centuries old witch village where you can see how soup is made…from children!

Witch’s Woods is BACK! Scarier than ever, the Witch’s Woods is a creepy walk through the old seance grounds of the Muldrough Witch. Back in the 1800s she placed a curse on a portion of the land that is now Otter Creek Park after being hunted down and burned at the stake in the middle of the forest.

The curse, as rumor has it, is that she is able to re-animate herself for one month out of the year, but she is imprisoned to the confines of the forest. Many unknowing hikers have become missing year after year as a result of her presence.

Now, this year you will come face-to-face with the Witch herself and see what she has in store for you!

Admission for both is $20
