Kid Friendly, UofL

This is my kind of Halloween activity. We’ve discussed before how I’m really a pansy and don’t like being scared. But a frickin’ laser show? I can get with that.

The Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium at the University of Louisville is hosting its annual Fright Night Family Party on Oct. 27, 2009 5PM-8PM.

The event includes “slightly spooky” fun for all ages, kid friendly games and activities and laser light shows at 5, 6 and 7 p.m. Costumes are welcomed and encouraged. Admission is $5 per person.

Fright Night laser show music includes Monster Mash, Purple People Eater, Devil Went Down to Georgia, Thriller, Godzilla and more.

The Fright Light Laser show can also be seen on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons during October.

I am soooooo glad this was posted on Consuming Louisville! I attended this event tonight and it was WONDERFUL. My 3-yr old and I had a fabulous time. There were kiddie games set up with accommodations made for the little guys while still keeping it challenging for the big kids. Lots of cuties in costumes (who doesn’t love that) and free candy! The laser light show was well worth the price of admission and I was impressed with the music selection (all child-appropriate but still unexpectedly edgy and modern) and the longevity (it was almost an hour long). We had an awesome time and will certainly make it a part of our annual family tradition. It’s still going on so I would encourage all families to take advantage!
