Free Stuff, History, Museum

enjoy_home_2009_2.jpg I got a tip about Free Museum Day tomorrow (thanks Robert!). It’s a national project spearheaded by  the Smithsonian. According to their website you need to print a free admission card to get in for free at participating museums.

In Louisville the participating museums are:

Frazier International History Museum
Louisville Slugger Museum
Locust Grove

What a great idea! I love museums, and a free ride makes it even better. Too bad the Speed Museum isn’t on the list, but I noticed on the website that there are two more across the river that are included — the Carnegie Center for Art & History in New Albany, and the Howard Steamboat Museum in Jeffersonville.

Once upon a time I lived in Indy and was a fellow blogger (I had a blog called Indyfoodie). Anyway, I always followed your blog up there, and I’ve moved to Louisville and am SO HAPPY to see you doing Consuming Louisville!

How nice Shelly! Welcome to Louisville, hope it’s treating wonderful so far. I think you’re probably the only Consuming Louisville reader who remembers the old Consuming Indy days, how neat.
