OK so it’s been open for a little while now but they’re throwing a big party to celebrate this weekend and I am a-ok with that.
Here’s the scoop on all the celebration awesomeness:
The four hour celebration is an opportunity for customers to familiarize themselves with the store and what it has to offer in a relaxed, festive atmosphere. In addition to a large selection of specialty and grocery items, supplements and beauty products, an extensive produce section including a hot bar and salad bar, the market also boasts both a Practitioner’s Room and a Community Room.
“While I’ve always been aware of Rainbow Blossom’s commitment to Louisville, the opening of a practitioner’s room in their new Highlands Market shows how much they truly care about the health of community,” says Health Counselor Lindsey Christensen. “They understand the important role alternative health practitioners play, and are making it easier for people searching for preventative health care options to connect with providers.”
During the celebration the upstairs Community Room – designed for community events, meetings and the like – will play host to four, hourly “mini” events:
12:00 PM – Gentle Yoga & QiGong with Tom Keenan. Join Tom for some gentle stretching, guided poses to emerge deeply relaxed.
1:00 PM – Are you a Bioneer? Become one with Ben Evans (YERT.com), Colette Henderson (KFTC), and several short films. Get the scoop on Bioneers 2009, KFTC and Mountaintop Removal, and preview the upcoming road trip adventure eco-doc, YERT.
2:00 PM – Learn about Medicinal Herbs with Herbalist Myron Hardesty of Weeds of Eden.
3:00 PM – Free, exclusive screening of FRESH, the movie. FRESH celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system. www.freshthemovie.com
