Some Leaders Don’t Get the Recognition They Deserve.
If you know leaders in our community who always get things done, nominate them to become a Connector – the real people who are connected enough throughout the community to truly make a difference.
That’s the introduction to the new Leadership Louisville Connector Project and I’ve got to say as far as introductions go that’s a pretty good one. As someone who has spent most of my career and adult life outside traditional work environments and traditional power structures I’m beyond thrilled to see Leadership Louisville looking to find and acknowledge people that haven’t always been talked about in terms of making things happen.
At the Leadership Louisville Center, we are doing something unprecedented for our 30th Anniversary. With your help, we are recognizing the leaders who live and work among us that create positive change. Of course, we don’t know who they are, but we know they are out there. And we want to find them. This is where you come in.
If you know everyday heroes, leaders or champions who are connected enough throughout our community to truly make a difference socially, culturally, politically or in any other way, nominate them to be a Connector. Make nominations September 9 – October 31, 2009.
Since this is the very first time they’ve done anything like this I’m really intrigued to see who the community chooses as “Connectors.” I’m excited about this project, well done Leadership Louisville.
