The bake sale is less than one week away! That’s right on Wednesday August 26, 2009 there are going to be lots of tasty, tasty baked goods ready for you to buy and consume. You’ll be putting yummyiness in your tummy and giving yourself a warm fuzzy feeling all at the same time because you know you’ll be helping the library.
I’ll be setting up at DCE around 3:30PM and I’ll official declare the bake sale open at 4PM. I’m planning to be there until 8PM or I run out of baked goods, whichever comes first.
Swing by for an after work snack or come by for dessert after dinner.
Every penny made at the bake sale will be going to The Library
Foundation. We’ll be selling both individual desserts (cookies,
slices of cake and pie) as well as whole cakes, pies and breads so you
can feed yourself or feed your family or office something yummy while
doing good for the library at the same time.
Derby City Espresso has graciously agreed to host the bake sale on
Wednesday August 26 and $1 from drinks sold during the bake sale will
be donated to the library. So buy something sweet to eat and get a delicious vanilla cappuccino to go with it. Or a beer if that’s your thing.
Since this is taking place on a Wednesday WFPK’s Waterfront Wednesday
will be happening just a few blocks away. If you’re going to see the
Great Lake Swimmers at Waterfront Wednesday (like my beloved is) you
should totally come by DCE to buy some snacks to take to the concert
with you.
