I don’t know too much about either of these organizations but I do know that I love events with “hullabaloo” in the title so even if I didn’t love supporting the arts and artists so much I think I’d still tell you about this event.
Local arts group, Art Sanctuary and theater group, the Alley Theater have relocated to a shared space in Butchertown Pointe (located at 1205 E Washington St). They are celebrating the move and new partnership with a Housewarming Hullabaloo on July 18th.
The Hullabaloo will feature the work of local artists, musicians, and performers such as Spacehooker, Honey Highway, DJ Jason Shelton, The Blue Moon Circus as well as spoken word artist J.P. Lebangood. A cash bar and edibles will also be available.
The groups are hosting the housewarming to introduce the exciting new space and to request donations of materials, labor, as well as cash donations to help fund future programming such as life drawing, art education, and children’s theater workshops.
This family friendly event kicks off on the 18th at 5 PM and is scheduled to wrap up around midnight.
