Five0Two totally stepped up their game with their newest featured artist. Ron Jasin has brought the awesomeness in a big way with his hand screen printed “I Love Louisville” poster. Did I mention it freaking glows in the dark? Well it does. It is, in a word, bad ass. Fine, that was two words, whatever.

I’m so pleased to tell you that I’ve got one copy of this 16″ x 20″ piece of awesomeness to give away. It’s two color silkscreen printed with Glow In The Dark Ink on 100# Cover Cougar White. It’s signed and numbered from a limited edition of 100.
To enter to win leave a comment telling me one thing you love about Louisville (you can be as specific (seitan parmesan panini at Ramsi’s) or as abstract (awesome place to raise a family) as you like.
I’ll choose a random winner from all entries received by 4PM Friday June 12, 2009.

The history. The art. The Southern vibe.

I love the fact that driving down 64 (in the Highlands area) you can forget you are in a city because of all of the trees.

I love the feeling of walking around U of L’s campus on the first day of class. That and the funny smells that Old Louisville produces.
June 11th, 2009 at 9:45 am
Big enough that there’s always something to do (and something delicious to eat and drink!), but small enough you’ll run into people you know, or people who know people you know.
Also, I might be biased on these fronts, but I’m pretty proud of our theater community and our public radio stations!
June 11th, 2009 at 9:50 am
I love the West End. It has so much history and character.
June 11th, 2009 at 9:55 am
The coolest place I’ve ever transplanted to, and such is “home”. All kinds of people living comfortably together, fanatastic arts community, and more to do then I ever have time for. But picking/choosing is part of the fun.
June 11th, 2009 at 9:59 am
I love Carmichael’s Bookstore for their support of indie publishers and local authors, their cozy spaces, their amazing selection, and their knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff.

I love that Louisville is a big town with a small town feel.
June 11th, 2009 at 10:01 am
Everything! I could move anywhere in the world, but I will always call Louisville “home.”
June 11th, 2009 at 10:03 am
I love Louisville because of everywhere I’ve been, Louisville is always home. Above all, living in Louisville in this stage of it’s development I feel like we are witnessing Louisville’s growth from a southern city, into something greater. Plus I always am for the underdog and Louisville will always be my scrappy little city that can!
June 11th, 2009 at 10:04 am
Aside from how beautiful the city is and the lovely people in it, I love local, Louisville music the most.

DERBY DERBY DERbY!!!
June 11th, 2009 at 11:29 am
I love the city as a whole, what is there not to love, Best metro park system in the country, best tasting water in the whole world, great people, awesome food talent, always something to do for all walks of life, whether your an outdoorsy type, an artsy type or someone in between. The river is wonderful.
I love that the first question asked by people you meet is “What school did you go to?” and they mean what High School. Louisville is also a Great place to raise a family, giving children exposure to a very diverse culture, in a relatively safe, low crime big city.
Again, what is the not to love about Louisville.
I Truly Love Louisville!
June 11th, 2009 at 11:30 am
I have watched the Derby since I was about 8 years old…watching everyone dressed up with the hats and all the pomp and circumstance wanting so badly to be here for it. My daughter also shares my love of horses and has watched the Derby with me. I had the opportunity to move here 5 years ago..actually the only job interviews I was getting came from Louisville after putting my resume out to the entire country…so I guess fate or karma brought my daughter and myself here. It has been an amazing 5 years…married with a now 3 year old and new family..great job…loved going to Derby it was just like I had expected even though my family told me it wouldn’t measure up to my fantasies. Louisville is my home now and I wouldn’t change a thing about it!! There is more to do than I can plan, so every year we get to do new things and explore new places here. Whats not to love!!!!
June 11th, 2009 at 12:01 pm
The thing I love most about Louisville…is that Louisville is the most Artistically Diverse City I have lived in…You can find free music & visual arts any day of the week…I LOVE LOUISVILLE…peace em

I love seeing that Krispy Kreme donut shop on Bardstown Road and knowing that that Highlands are just ahead. It’s like seeing the entrance to an amusement park and being glad that people are having some fun.
June 11th, 2009 at 8:22 pm
The people! You can talk to almost anyone anywhere in Louisville–they just give off a different, friendlier vibe than anywhere else I’ve ever been.

June 12th, 2009 at 12:06 pm
i love everything local about Louisville and how Louisvillians embrace the local and keep turning out more and more unique, awesome, native things.
June 12th, 2009 at 12:53 pm
I’ve arrived fairly recently from the coast, and always thought of myself as a mid-Atlantic dweller, but Louisville has been a pleasant surprise. it’s a compact enough city to get around by bike to many of the places worth getting to. I’m surprised by the cultural diversity. I’m impressed by finding several excellent pizza places, each of them with their own distinctive style. I love the Louisville Game Shop and Dak-Shin and Iroquois. It’s got much of a small-town feel in some places, without giving up the amenities and opportunities of a good-sized city.
June 13th, 2009 at 1:23 pm
I love Louisville for the flora hidden in its parks, the strange arrangements of streets that shouldn’t meet, its history it can’t and shouldn’t shake, and its pride in spite of it.
June 15th, 2009 at 11:34 am
I love that I can rave about Louisville to all my friends at college and when I bring them home with me, they tell me I was right!
