I’m kind of excited about Midnights at the Baxter’s summer lineup. Oh don’t get me wrong I’m not excited about Heavy Metal or Dark City or Masters of the Universe. But Superman, Independence Day, Batman and North By Northwest? Yes, I can definitely get with those. And as I believe I’ve mentioned before they’re showing Batman in July during the birthday jubilee. That’s very exciting.
Oh and just so we’re clear they’re showing the original good Superman this weekend, not any of the bad later versions.

For Shame! Dark City is a fantastic movie.
And Heavy Metal is not only important in the history of film, but is also being remade:
“David Fincher will direct one segment. James Cameron will direct one. Zack Snyder is going to direct one and Gore Verbinski is going to direct one. ['Kung Fu Panda' director] Mark Osborne and Jack Black from Tenacious D are going to do a comedy segment for the film.”
“Three other directors have agreed but we haven’t signed them yet, but they’re equally as jaw-dropping [as Cameron],” he said. “So we’re on cloud nine to be working with such an amazing amount of talent.”
