Early Warning: 100 Mile Potluck

POTLUCK Flyer PRINT.jpgOh I like this idea. The day before my birthday, also known as July 26, The Bardstown Road Farmers’ Market, the Eco-Stewardship committee of the Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church, and the Deer Park Baptist Church are hosting a “100 Mile Potluck.”

The concept is pretty simple, bring a potluck dish “made with locally grown and/or produced foods obtained within 100 miles of your home. Not every single ingredient has to be local, just do the best you can. The main focus is to share good food with friends and neighbors, learn more about where to buy local food and have some fun in the process.”

How fantastic is that?

I know it’s a month away and I don’t usually write about stuff this far in advance but I think this is such a great concept that I want to make sure you have plenty of time to make plans to attend if you are so inclined.
