Home Buying Class May 26 Way, Way Out in Pewee Valley

Education

I got an email from local real estate guy Scott Hack asking if I’d tell you all about the Home Buying Academy he’s participating in. This is certainly not my area of expertise so I’m just going to share his email with you that has all the scoop:

I’m holding a Home Buying Seminar on May 26th, at 6:30pm in the Pewee
Valley Fire Department’s training center.  Although I hope to pick up
clients from the event, my goal is to educate people about the home
buying experience.  I’ve setup a webpage showing a lot of what we will
be going over.  The biggest portion of things is financing and the
legal paperwork.  We will also be going over inspections and the
closing process.  My hopes are to help shed a little bit of light on
the experience, what to expect from different parties and vendors, and
to share a few long range goals with people who may be planning to buy
next year.  As I said though, the biggest portion will be spent with
financing.  A state program has been put in place in the past few weeks
that expands on the $8,000 tax credit currently in place.  In all
honesty, most people are still confused between the difference of the
$7500 tax credit from last year and the current $8,000 credit being
offered.

The website for the class is http://www.homebuyingacademy.com

I’ve not used the services of any of the people involved with this class so I can’t personally vouch for their services but I’ve met Scott at a few events and he seems like a nice guy and it sounds like the class is going to have a lot of good information. I know house buying is an absolute maze of paperwork, procedures and legal processes so the more educated you are the better.
