“Strengthening U.S. Security in a New Era” Discussion at LFPL

April 03, 2009

Community Involvement, Lecture

I must have missed the announcement on the beginning of this series since they say this event is a continuation. Even if we didn’t catch the beginning of the series I think this specific event is a good one.

On Wednesday, April 8, 2009, the World Affairs Council of Kentucky/Southern Indiana and Louisville Free Public Library will continue the Council’s Special Event series with Lt. General Robert G. Gard (USA, Ret.) and Colonel William Hauser (USA, Ret.).

Amid the beginning stages of a new era of defense policy, Lt. Gen. Robert Gard and Col. William Hauser will discuss two key issues confronting U.S. national security: how the United States can protect itself and its allies against the growing dangers of nuclear weapons proliferation, and how to rebuild and strengthen the U.S. military as American troops withdraw from Iraq and deploy in increased numbers to Afghanistan.

Event is free but you need to reserve tickets.
