Gardening for the Birds with Thomas G. Barnes at Jefferson Memorial

April 29, 2009

Nature, Parks

Gardening and feeding the birds are two areas in which I do not excel. Luckily B takes care of all that. That’s why I’m really sad this event is happening on a Monday when she won’t be able to attend. I know she would just love hearing this guy present on developing our yard with native plants and attracting birds.

Thomas G. Barnes, an Extension Professor and Extension Wildlife
Specialist with the Department of Forestry at the University of
Kentucky, will be presenting on one of his incredible books, Gardening
for the Birds.

Through the use of native plants you can create
a backyard that will attract numerous birds and other wildlife.  He
will discuss the benefits of native plants and how easily you can
create an amazing backyard wildlife haven.

Reservations required, $10 fee
