Oh I really like the subtitle of this event: “Transforming Louisville Through Art, Architecture, and the Land.” Though I do kind of object to their use of the Oxford comma but whatever, different strokes for different folks.
The discussion will emphasize the transformation of a citywide vision for art, architecture and landscape.
Noted panelists and topics include:
Dan Jones, Chairman and CEO of 21st Century Parks, Inc. / An Introduction to the Floyds Fork Greenway Project; Dr. Shirley Willihnganz, Executive VP and University Provost at University of Louisville / Campus Sustainability, Master Planning; Kulapat Yantrasast Partner of wHY Architecture / Acupuncture Architecture at the Speed; and Dr. Charles L. Venable, Director of The Speed Art Museum / The New Vision for the SpeedModerated by Michael A. Speaks, Ph.D., Dean College of Design, University of Kentucky
This will be the first in a series of public forums associated with the development of The Speed Art Museum renovation and expansion.
Admission for the event is free, however tickets are required and can be obtained by calling 502.634.2970 or email architecture@speedmuseum.org
