Zen Tea House, a few photos

We went back to Zen Tea House the other day (I told you B was going to want to have lunch there a lot) and this time I had my camera with me.

Naturally B ordered a pot of tea. She had a Darjeeling tea that she really enjoyed.

zentea3.jpgWe started our meal with an order of sticky rice rolls that were really fantastic. Hard to eat with chopsticks but absolutely delicious.

B then had cucumber rolls. I hate cucumbers so I did not partake.

zentea4.jpgI acknowledge that the mushroom pate I ordered is not the most photogenic food in the history of the world but really what pate is? The mushroom pate is wonderful. I’ll be personally hurt and offended if they take it off the menu, it’s that good. I really enjoy the carrot and cauliflower in the pickled vegetable dish also. The other vegetables? Not so much, but that’s just me.

zentea7.jpgWe finished the meal off with a shared piece of vegan carrot cake. B said “this is really good to be vegan cake” and it was but I don’t think I’ll order it again. I might try the vegan chocolate peanut butter pie though.

Pretty pictures! I went there last night and got a bubble tea. It was good, but now I can’t wait to get back and try the food.

I’ve been wondering about this place, but haven’t had the chance to get there myself – yet! Thanks for the pics – and well taken pics at that!
