Concert to Benefit Center for Women and Families

February 25, 2009

Charity, Highlands, Music

As I was a tiny bit critical of the diamond raffle to support the Center for Women and Families I wrote about last week I’m pleased to be able to whole heartedly endorse another benefit for that organization.

The 38th annual Congregation Adath Jeshurun Music Festival will feature the internationally popular singer and composer, Neshama Carlebach.
The Adath Jeshurun Music Festival has been endowed by the Adolf and
Sara van der Walde and Israel Rosenbloum Charitable Fund since 2003.

Neshama will also have a locally produced music video from one of her songs shown at the event.

The concert, titled “Soul Journey,” will start at 7 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Congregation Adath Jeshurun, 2401 Woodbourne Avenue in the Highlands with a dessert reception to follow.

Part of the proceeds of the concert
ticket price and 10% of purchases made that night at the Gift Shop at
Congregation Adath Jeshurun will be donated to CWF.

CWF is asking all the concert patrons to bring and donate new
towel sets, especially new bath towels.

Thursday March 5, 2009

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $12.50 or at the door for $15. Students and Senior Citizen tickets are $10. Call 458-5359 to order tickets.
