The Makery is having an opening this Friday night, February 13, 2009, for a show featuring the work of Louisville native Tiffany Embry and The Makery’s owner Melissa Liptrap.
Louisville native Tiffany Embry recently attained her Master’s degree from the University of Louisville in textile/fiber art. This is her first show since her Master’s Thesis exhibition. Unconventional beading was her primary choice of materials and now she is venturing toward explorations in embroidery. Her work has been included in shows across KY and in juried national exhibitions.
Dearest Inez is the work of Makery owner Melissa Liptrap. She is a graduate of the Visual Commnications program at West Virginia State University. Liptrap’s work has been included in juried fairs in New York and Chicago.
