I have said many, many times that Louisville is a coffee town and I am oh so happy for it. I’ve mentioned though that my beloved has a taste for tea more than she does for coffee so I’m aware of the places where a “good” cup of ta can be found.
Zen Tea House is coming soon from the same folks who bring us the wonderful Zen Garden restaurants. They’re hoping to open the tea house next month and say it will feature traditional teas and light food. The location is just a couple doors down from Zen Garden on Frankfort Avenue. This is the tea shop that commenter Jason Clark mentioned a while ago.
In the non-traditional tea category it looks like Louisville is finally getting a bubble tea shop, on Bardstown Road naturally. Bubble tea is the kind of tea I can get behind. I couldn’t read the name of the shop (weird font on the sign, maybe VT’s or something like that) but I could read the “bubble cup” part of it. Bubble cup = bubble tea. This is the tea shop that Broken Sidewalk told us about a couple months ago, it’s next door to the new Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen on Bardstown Road.
