hsj.jpgThe reading series that could, InKY is celebrating its birthday by exploring one of the most most painful, heart wrenching and hilarious genres in all of writing: the high school journal.

“Happy birthday to InKY! This February we celebrate
our 5th birthday, and we’re asking you to support the literary arts in
Louisville and join us for a night of melodrama and manifestos,
featuring writers and readers sharing the chronicles of their
adolescent angst through emotional diary entries, passionate poems and
stories, righteously indignant record reviews and school paper
editorials, and so much more.”

Featuring performances by Tori Murden McClure, WFPK’s Laura Shine, novelist Brian Leung, musician Brigid Kaelin, writer Crystal Wilkinson, journalists David Daley, Peter Berkowitz and Jeffrey Lee Puckett, music courtesy of the Bourbon Brothers (The Bourbon Cowboy and Michael Young of Roots n’ Boots), free food and drinks, and more!
