New Year’s Eve at Equus (2008)

December 11, 2008

Entertainment, Food, St. Matthews

I know it’s probably  wrong to say this but I’d love to be able to go Equus for their dessert course on New Year’s Eve alone. Bananas three ways? Come on! Bananas are woefully underused in desserts in this town.

First Course
Pumpkin-Lobster Bisque with crème fraîche

Second Course
Kentucky Bibb Salad, Pickled Pearl Onions, Orange-Fennel Citronette

Third Course
Pan-roasted Kentucky Striped Bass, Creamed Leeks, Roasted Chestnuts

Fourth Course
Creekstone Farms Beef Tenderloin, Roasted Parsnips, Apple Compote

Fifth Course
Banana Prepared Three Ways

Dinner
will cost $85 per person, plus tax and gratuity, including a champagne toast at
midnight. Equus’ regular menu will not be available during this
celebration. Jack’s Lounge, located next door to Equus, will also be open
and serving its regular menu. However, they will also offer some special dishes
and drinks.
