Handcrafted Clay Sale at UofL December 12-13, 2008

December 05, 2008

Art, Shopping, UofL

I love ceramics.I’m incredibly envious of people who can take raw slabs of clay and make something beautiful with them. So I definitely see myself hitting the Clay Sale at UofL next weekend.

Ceramics students and faculty members make the items, which include
bowls, vases, mugs, teapots, platters, casserole dishes and other
functional and sculptural objects.

Sale proceeds help the UofL Hite Art Institute’s Ceramics Art
Organization, student travel to national art conferences and free
public workshops with nationally recognized visiting artists.

On Dec. 12, sale-goers can park without a pass at Papa John’s
Cardinal Stadium and take the university shuttle to the Studio Arts
Building. On Dec. 13, sale-goers can park in the blue lot just south of
the Studio Arts Building.

Dec. 12, 2008 8AM-8PM and Dec. 13, 2008 10AM-2PM
Room 136, Studio Arts Building, Floyd and Warnock streets
Prices for items range from $5 to $100
