The downtown restaurant scene has just taken another hit. Jenicca’s, the small, comfortable wine bar and restaurant is closing.
This month is going to be a celebration of Jenicca’s Favorites!!! This is our last month of business and we have invited all the musicians that have played here, all the artists that have shown here and all the customers that have become our family. We want everyone to come in and enjoy Jenicca’s and pass this information along to people that you know that might want to come in one last time.
This is really sad to hear because it was a nice casual spot in a great location on East. Market.

What a crying shame! I finally live downtown and all the restaurants are closing. There is seriously nowhere for anyone to eat past 5:00pm or on the weekends, downtown (anymore).

I think downtown businesses were promised something a few years ago that is just now being realized. My guess is that the new batch of restaurants will get the fruits of the labor these currently closing missed. It’s a shame these places aren’t holding out another year for the condos near E. Market to open. That’s the kind of crowd Jennica’s caters too. I think they are calling it quits too soon… unless they just aren’t that interested.
As in any city, places come and places go, but once the people are there, more places will remain open.

This is such a shame. One of my favorite places to go. had my birthday and going away party there last year and the launch for my new business this year… it was also a great first date spot!
