The author of the best book I’ve read this year is coming to UofL on Thursday. I couldn’t be more excited about it.

The
Anne and William Axton Reading Series is pleased to announce the visit
of fiction writer Junot Díaz, who will read from his work next
Thursday, 10/23 in Chao Auditorium in the Ekstrom Library at 7:30pm.
Díaz is the author of Drown and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao,
which won the John Sargent Sr. First Novel Prize, the National Book
Critics Circle Award, the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award and the Pulitzer
Prize. He is the fiction editor at the Boston Review and the Nancy
Allen professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. We’d also
like to thank the Latin American and Latino Studies Program, the
Commonwealth Center for the Humanities and Society, and the Office of
the Vice President for Research for their support of these events.
