The downtown spots are pulling out all the stops for special Valentine’s meals. Here’s the press release info on Proof on Main’s Valentine’s Day special.
There may be a chill in the air, but Proof on Main is
heating things up for Valentine’s Day with a special menu to tantalize
your taste buds. On Thursday, Feb. 14, Louisville’s
favorite spot will offer Tuscan-inspired dishes to set
the scene for an evening of bliss. The four-course prix fixe costs $50-$65,
depending on choice on entrée.
The
first course options include: Italian Wedding Soup with pork
meatballs, chicory and Parmigiano;
Grateful Greens Mixed Lettuces with red wine vinaigrette and pecorino; and Warm Roasted Octopus Salad with
celery hearts & leaves and Cerignola olives.
Choices for the second course include Raviolo Al Uovo with sage brown butter and Lobster Risotto with ‘red eye’ gravy. For the main
course, succulent choices include: Roman Style Duck with turnips, bunch carrots, hedgehog
mushrooms and pickled garlic, $56; Smoked
Amish Chicken with grain mustard, thyme, roasted string beans, $52; and Bone-in Bison Tenderloin with buttered
leeks, fingerling potatoes and smoked salt, $65. Finally, what kind of a
Valentine’s Day would it be without a Chocolate Three-Way? The tempting dessert features a cherry
chocolate bon bon, chocolate marshmallow and chocolate
sorbet.
