So obviously I am dwelling on this post... BUT I realized I forgot to mention my new favorite Chinese restaurant! It's called Liu's Garden- on Shelbyville Road on the outside of Middletown (close to Evergreen Liquor). It's tiny, the Kung Pao tofu is phe-nom, and the owner (who now knows my boyfriend and me by both name and order) is super nice. I've noticed a lot of the Chinese restaurants here don't have tofu options, so Liu's is definitely worth the drive. And I love the cozy atmosphere.

Thanks for reminding me about Ramsi's. I can't believe I left it off the list. My favorite vegetarian meal there is the 1001 Arabian Lentils. So. Very. Good.
And I too was so excited by the response to Lilly's vegetarian night. I've been disappointed though since the events to check Lilly's menu regularly and still finding the veggie plate as the only vegetarian option. I was really hopeful the positive response to their vegetarian nights would inspire them to expand their regularly updated menu with more vegetarian options.

Thank you SO much for this post! I'm 25 and have been a vegetarian for 15 years... I've lived in Paducah, Danville, Lexington and now Louisville, and (not that this is a huge honor) Louisville has the most vegetarian options by FAR! Still, you are right, upscale restaurants need to step up! The response to Lilly's vegetarian night(s) clearly indicates that there is a HUGE (and always growing) demand. (Yaaay, Lilly's- let's keep it up). I really hope other similar restaurants are paying attention! Another place I would mention is Ramsi's Cafe on the World. They have a LOT of amazing Mediterranean veg dishes. Thanks again- I have some new places to try :)
